Treatment Benefits
Vitality Wellness Center’s Spa-Capsule is a multi-service device that offers an array of therapies to our Member Guest, power packing more benefits into one session than anyone can receive from a single therapy.
Our Spa Capsule features the most effective environments for heat, multi-spectrum light, negative ion facial breeze, aroma, bacterial-killing ozone and music therapies. In addition, its cocoon effect provides a unique opportunity to get away from daily bustle, relax and ease the mind. After the treatment, Member Guest experience a feeling of enhanced energy, better mood and renewed sleep patterns.
Using infrared light the Spa Capsule’s heat therapy component acts upon endermic fat and other inflamed properties of our body. It dissipates water stored in swollen tissues that discharge through sweat pores. 20-30 minutes of use can boost metabolism enough to consume 200 to 600 calories of energy. The temperature inside the capsule rise as high as 90 degrees, which improves lymph circulation that discharges not only toxins, but removes surplus water to slim the body. The numerous benefits of a sauna are too many to list here, however all are found in this one amazing therapy capsule.
Specially-designed LED chips offer multi-beneficial color light waves to improve the metabolism of mitochondria and our tissue cells. Like a plant, our body has a reaction to light. Of the spectrum of light that is given from our sun, you probably already know that some light waves are harmful. While everything has its duality, we are learning that there are other light spectrums that are helpful. Certain spectrums stimulate healing in both the skin and muscle tissues. They also help cells repair themselves, and aid in mood enhancement.
a) Red Light – Red Light Therapy involves the use of a very specific red-light spectrum (620 – 750 nanometers) that transfers through your skin (about 8 to 10 millimeters deep), causing a cellular reaction. Also known as “photorejuvenation”, red light therapy diminishes scars, aging signs and inflammation by stimulating the skin’s collagen production. Mitochondria generate most of the chemical energy needed to power the cell’s production and functional needs, as they also receive a positive effect of exposure to red light.
b) Yellow Light – Yellow Light Therapy is also referred to as amber light therapy. It encompasses a range of wavelengths from 570nm to 620nm and has a shallow penetration level between 0.5 to 2mm, It is effective for skin issues involving redness, such as spider veins or rosacea. When yellow light penetrates the skin, it gets absorbed by dermal, epidermis and subcutaneous tissue cells, which play a critical role in maintaining the skin’s integrity and youthful appearance.
c) Green Light – Falling in the 480 to 570nm spectrum window, Green Light Therapy is known to not only relax and is being studied for the treatment of migraines. This natural color is known for comforting and calming effects on anxiety and depression, and studies show that it enhances sleep.
d) Blue Light – Nonthermal Blue (405-425nm) has shown to have healing properties. It has been used to treat mild to moderate plaque psoriasis and it has also been used to treat acne. Actinic keratosis are scaly bumps that show up on the face, ears, lips, hands, and other areas of skin exposed to the sun over years. They sometimes grow into skin cancer. Blue light helps lower the number of these precancerous patches, treating large areas of skin with few side effects.
In addition to improvements of skin conditions, Blue Light Therapy makes you feel relaxed and reduces blood pressure, balancing and focusing the mind. However, exposure also suppresses melatonin production and can disrupt sleep.
A typical air purifier uses a filter to remove particles from air. In the case of an air ionizer, electrically charged air molecules (negative ions) do the same job. Every room is filled with positively charged particles, which are made up of dust, microbes, odors, airborne bacteria/illnesses, smoke or other allergens. The job of an air ionizer is to release negatively charged particles that attract and bond to positively charged particles, making them heavier than the air itself and they fall to the floor.
Air ionizers and their connection to negative ions can mean big benefits to your respiratory system and overall health.
- Improved air quality through the removal of dust, allergens, pollen, pet dander, mold spores and other airborne bacteria.
- Decreased exposure to airborne respiratory bacterialike colds, flu, and asthmatic triggers.
- Improved sleep and overall mood as several studies on air ion exposure and mood ratings have been published throughout the years.
- Relief from seasonal or chronic depression— according to a study from Columbia University, negative ions can have as much of an effect as prescribed antidepressants.
Is the practice of using essential oils for calming and therapeutic benefits, and have been used for centuries. When we inhale the molecules from essential oils, senses travel from the smelling nerves directly to the emotional center of the brain.
- We are all familiar with the ozone layer, the protective layer covering the earth from harmful UV rays of our sun. It is the sun’s UV rays and oxygen molecules that together make ozone gas. Ozone gas can be compared to chlorine, as both are powerful oxidizers that offer the same benefits. Some benefits include killing bacteria and disinfection, however unlike chlorine, ozone gas is safe to pass over our skin and does not leave a chemical residue.
A single application of ozone completely inhibits the growth of all potentially pathogenic bacterial strains, even those with known resistance to antimicrobial agents.
The Member Guest is escorted to the Spa Capsule Room, where a Technician shows them the pod and its ease of use. The Member Guest typically wears sports, beach attire or can be nude during the session. The session can last from as little as a person may tolerate, until an hour.
When you first start using an infrared sauna, it is best to ease into a frequent routine. Use at least twice a week starting with 10-15 minutes per session and work up to 30-40 minutes slowly. After sometime, and if you feel so inclined, users have been known to use a sauna as frequently as twice a day, for up to one hour each session.
People with rare light-sensitive conditions should not receive certain light therapy treatments. A small number of people may experience irritation or allergic reactions to certain essential oils, but this is more when applied topically or directly to the skin. Ozone should not be breathed into the lungs and is limited to the enclosure of the Spa Capsule only. Spa Capsule use and therapies are known to be safe, however it is advised Member Guests discuss their personal care strategies with their doctor.
